What happens when a frog finds a crown and is suddenly mistaken for a real king by all the animals in the forest? To accompany the pictures, I tell the story of the frog who thinks it's great to be served breakfast in bed, but soon gets tired of always having to decide everything.
We talk about the story and I explain how a picture book is created. We then create a large picture of a meadow together. We use stamps, wax crayons, watercolours and our own favourite pencils.
Requirements: Projector or smartboard (I bring a PDF on USB stick or iPad), scissors, brushes, water glasses, felt-tip pens and coloured pencils.

While singing in the bathtub, Giraffe and Duck quickly realise that they have what it takes to become superstars and sail to the big city in their paper boat. Their performances in front of an audience become more and more remarkable, but Giraffe and Duck also recognise the effort behind them. When Mr Mouse, their manager, demands that Giraffe perform without Duck in future because he is fed up with her quacking, the two friends lose their cool.
In an interactive reading, I show the pictures, tell the story and we sing together. I also talk about how the story came about and about my work as an author and illustrator. Afterwards, each child designs their own boat out of paper.
Requirements: Projector or smartboard (I bring a PDF on USB stick or iPad), scissors, coloured crayons.

Oops! An elephant has cycled into our town. What is it doing here? It doesn't fit in here at all. While Ben's parents are still puzzling over what the elephant could be up to, Ben sets off in a good mood to find his friend.
The children see the pictures and we tell the story together. We talk about what makes a good friend and then develop quirky yet lovable characters together that can be used to tell other stories. The children draw and colour the characters on stickers or magnetic foil, which they can take home with them.
Requirements: Projector or smartboard (I bring a PDF on USB stick or iPad), scissors, coloured pencils.

Who hasn't experienced this? Line can't sleep because not all the cuddly toys are gathered in her bed. She makes her way through her room and has a little adventure with every single animal she finds. The cuddly toy as a friend and loyal companion through thick and thin.
We look at the pictures and talk about the adventures. The children bring their own cuddly toys to the reading and tell us what they have already experienced with them. Afterwards, the children draw their favourite animal, which we then use to make a badge that each child can take home with them.
Requirements: Projector or smartboard (I bring a PDF on USB stick or iPad), scissors, coloured pencil, your own cuddly toy.
